Women’s Soccer Welcomes Harvard for Ivy League Opener on Saturday Evening

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's soccer team will begin Ivy League action on Saturday evening when they welcome Harvard to Stevenson-Pincince Field, kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online at Brownbears.com/tickets prior to their arrival at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device or print them at home prior to arrival. There is a no re-entry policy in place for all ticketed athletic events at Brown University, once you have scanned your ticket to enter, you must remain inside the venue.
As part of an effort to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our spectators, Brown Athletics has implemented the following bag policy at athletic events.
Backpacks, duffel bags and other multi-compartment bags are NOT permitted into the venue. Brown Athletics does not provide any storage for prohibited bags and/or items. Bags are subject to be checked upon entry. Clear bags no larger than 12"x12"x6" or small wristlets no larger than (4"x6") are permitted and are strongly encouraged.
Last Time Out
Brown earned a 6-1 win at Northeastern (Sept. 19) in its non-conference finale. The six goals by the Bears was the most since they earned a 6-0 victory over Albany in the 2023 season opener and was the second-most by an Ivy League team this season.
Brown scored three goals in each half as Karlie Schlosser, Kira Maguire, and Ayla Sahin scored for the Bears in the first half.
In the second half, Brown scored three goals in a 95-second span as Ella Weil found the back of the net twice and Nadja Meite also found the back of the net on a penalty kick. Weil finished with two goals and one assist while Schlosser finished the contest with one goal and two assists.
Non-Conference Recap
Brown finished non-conference play with a 3-2-3 record, Brown's three victories came against Central Connecticut State (Sept. 5), Providence (Sept. 12), and Northeastern. The Bears outscored their opponents a combined 10-1 in their three victories.
Brown faced off against three Big Ten opponents during non-conference play and earned a 0-1-2 record. Brown earned 1-1 draws against Indiana (Sept. 1) and at Minnesota (Sept. 8), the Bears suffered a 2-0 defeat at Ohio State (Sept. 15).
Brown went unbeaten at Stevenson-Pincince Field through non-conference play with a 2-0-1 record.
Recent Ivy League Dominance
Brown is 25-0-2 in regular season Ivy League play since the 2019 season, the Bears haven't suffered a defeat in regular season Ivy League action since the 2018 season.
Brown is seeking an unprecedented fifth consecutive Ivy League title, the Bears have the opportunity to become the first-ever program to earn this feat.
Scouting Brown (3-2-3)
The four-time defending Ivy League Champions enter Ivy League play with an unbeaten record at Stevenson-Pincince Field this season.
Ella Weil picked up TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week honors after her career-best two goals and one assist at Northeastern in Brown's non-conference finale. Weil leads the Bears with three goals and seven points, her three goals ranks fifth in the Ivy League.
Brown has scored 13 goals this season from nine different goal scorers. Out of the nine goal scorers for Brown, four of them are freshmen. Along with Weil. Nadja Meite has two goals, and Ayla Sahin and Kyra Treanor have one goal each.
Scouting Harvard (4-0-4)
Harvard enters conference play unbeaten in eight contests this season, the Crimson were also picked no. 1 in the Ivy League preseason poll. Harvard received votes in the United Soccer Coaches top-25 weekly poll released on Sept. 22.
Offensively, Harvard is led by Josefine Hasbo, who has a team-high five goals. Hasbo ranks third in the Ivy League in goals and second in the Ivy League with 11 points.
Rhiannon Stewart leads the Ivy League with four shutouts.

Brown is 24-29-5 all-time against Harvard, the Bears are riding a four-game unbeaten streak against the Crimson.
