SCOUTING BROWN
- Brown went 1-2 against Dartmouth over the weekend with the Bears earning a win in game three of the series.
- After being held scoreless in the first two games, Brown's offense responded with season-highs in both runs and hits against the Big Green.
- Jasmine Hsiao, Lily Berlinger and Dara English all had three hits, marking the first game since March 16, 2019 against Lafayette that three Bears each had three hits in a game.
- Brown overcame five errors in the win over Dartmouth. It was the first time dating back to 2012 that Brown had won a game when committing five errors.
- Hsiao still leads Brown in batting average (.355), hits (27), and doubles (8).
- Berlinger is hitting .333 on the season and has three three-hit games this year after not having a three-hit game as a freshman.
- Rhode Island is 7-25 on the season and 4-8 in Atlantic 10 play. The Rams lost two of three games against Loyola Chicago over the weekend. Rhode Island has lost six of its last eight games.
- Only one Ram, Emily Power, is hitting above .300 on the season as Power holds a .321 batting average. Power leads the team with four home runs and is tied with Cassie Swenson with a team-high 16 RBI.
- Four pitchers have thrown at least 35 innings on the season for the Rams. Katie Zaun leads the team with 63.0 innings pitched. Avery Vale-Cruz has a team-best 4.24 ERA in 38.0 innings pitched.
- Since 2010, Brown is just 4-12 against Rhode Island and the Bears have lost three-straight games in the series. The last win was a 1-0 victory on April 27, 2022 in Providence.
