Baseball Welcomes Princeton to Providence for Three-Game Weekend Set

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown baseball team will continue its five-game homestand this weekend by welcoming Princeton to Attanasio Family Field at Murray Stadium for a three-game series. First pitch for Saturday's doubleheader is set for 11:30 a.m., with Sunday's single game slated for noon.
The Bears turned out a season-high 18 hits in last Sunday's win at Harvard, before totaling one hit in a midweek non-conference loss to Bryant.

SCOUTING BROWN (7-15, 2-4 Ivy)
- Last weekend, Brown earned its first series win over Harvard since 2009 by taking two of three on the road. Note- the Ivy League played four game series through 2017 before shifting to three-game series in 2018.
- The Bears scored a season-high 20 runs in Sunday's series finale and tied their season-high with 18 hits.
- Junior infielder Gunner Boree will carry a 17-game on-base streak into the weekend after going 4-for-4 with three walks in seven plate appearances with three walks and three RBIs in Sunday's finale, then walking three times against Bryant.
- Mark Henshon has a 15-game on-base streak and has hit safely in 14 of his last 15 games.
- DJ Dillehay has a hit in 20 of his 22 games this season and had a 15-game hitting streak snapped Tuesday against Bryant.
- Reece Rappoli reached base five times in six plate appearances with four hits and a walk, while driving in four and scoring three runs against Harvard last Sunday.
- Nathan Brasher had a six-game hitting streak snapped against Bryant but will carry a seven-game on-base streak into this weekend's series.
- Brown batted .329 as a team with a .469 on-base percentage over four games last week, with eight players batting over .300 (minimum five official ABs).
- All told, Brown is batting .259 as a team this season, which ranks sixth in the Ivy. The staff ERA of 7.43 ranks fifth.
