The Bears will now face Columbia on Sunday at noon in an elimination game. The winner of that game will face Yale at 4 p.m. in the championship round, but would have to win Sunday's second game, followed by a winner-take-all matchup on Monday to win the tournament title.
Senior Dylan Reid went 8.0 innings on the mound, allowing five earned runs on eight hits with five strikeouts. Four of the runs and four of the hits came in the sixth inning, and he threw a career-high 123 pitches. Sophomore Matt Wilmarth worked a scoreless eighth inning with a strikeout.
Sophomore Christian Butera had two hits for Brown, senior DJ Dillehay had a hit and an RBI, and senior Mika Petersen added a solo homer.

The Bears answered in the bottom of the inning with Matt Luigs leading off with a hit-by-pitch, and Dillehay driving a two-out single to right-center to tie the game.
Brown stranded two runners in the second, and one more in both the third and fifth innings.
Yale took control of the game with four runs on four hits in the sixth inning, which included three straight RBI hits, the last of which was a two-run homer that made it 5-1.
Brown stranded three runners in the sixth inning, loading the bases with two walks and a single, but a strikeout thwarted the rally and ended the inning.
