No. 23 Women's Lacrosse Cruises to 15-6 Win Over Sacred Heart

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The 23rd-ranked Brown Bears (3-0, 0-0 Ivy League) erased an early deficit and cruised to a 15-6 non-conference win over Sacred Heart (0-3, 0-0 NEC) to win its third straight game to open the 2024 campaign.
Mia Mascone finished the afternoon with three goals and four assists to reach the career milestone of 100 points. She is the 23rd Bear in program history to reach the century mark in points. Greta Criqui added a career-high five goals.
After two quick Sacred Heart goals, Mascone tallied her first of the game before the first quarter ended to cut into the lead.
Brown continued to press offensively and scored the first seven goals of the second quarter to take an 8-2 lead. Criqui finished the quarter with three goals as Brown took a 9-3 lead into the break.
The Bears continued to pour it on in the offensive zone and opened the second half with five straight goals to extend the lead to ten at 13-3.
From there, the Bears and Pioneers traded goals to finish the game.
