Men's Lacrosse Welcomes Boston University for Home Opener Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (0-1, 0-0 Ivy League) return to the friendly confines of Stevenson-Pincince Field to renew the regional rivalry with the Boston University Terriers (2-1, 0-0 Patriot League) on Tuesday.
Tuesday's game is set to begin at 3 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters Tuesday's home opener after a 13-7 road setback at Quinnipiac to open the 2024 campaign. Aidan McLane netted a hat trick to lead the Bears while Matteo Corsi chipped in two goals and an assist.
- Brown captain Jack Kelly finished the afternoon with two assists.
- Brown's man-up offense struck for three goals in eight attempts (.375) with junior Forrest Demetri tallying both man-up goals.
- Brown's man-down defense finished the afternoon 7-for-9 (.778) with senior Connor Theriault recording nine saves.
- The Terriers enter Tuesday with a 2-1 overall record after taking wins over St. Joseph's and Vermont before most recently falling to Bryant.
- BU finished the 2023 season with a 10-4 overall record after reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history in 2022.
- The Terriers were selected to finish second in the Patriot League Preseason Poll, trailing defending champion Army.
- Offensively, BU averages 12.67 goals per game while only allowing 10 goals per game.
- Louis Perfetto leads BU with nine assists and 19 points. His 10 goals are tied for the team lead with Vince D'Alto.
- Will Barnes has started all three games for BU in the pipes and holds a 10.36 goals against average and .610 save percentage.
- BU's man-up offense has three goals in seven attempts (.429).
- The man-down unit has allowed two goals in 12 attempts (.833).
- Tuesday marks the fifth meeting between Brown and Boston University dating back to 1930.
- The teams met in 1930, 1933, and 1934 before the most recent meeting in 2021.
- Bruno took a 12-5 win over BU in the program's lone game of the season.
