Men’s Lacrosse Adds Campbell Pozin & Travis Dick to Coaching Staff

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Rothman Head Coaching Chair for Men's Lacrosse Jon Torpey has finalized the program's coaching staff for the 2027 season, Campbell Pozin will join as an assistant coach and Travis Dick will serve as the program's Keogh Family Director of Lacrosse Operations.
"We are very excited to have Campbell Pozin join the Brown Lacrosse program," Torpey said. "Campbell is innovative, hard working, competitive and does everything with a humble demeanor. Campbell's track record as a coach and a player speaks for itself and I have no doubt that his presence will make our program better."
Most recently, Pozin was the Defensive Coordinator at Christopher Newport. In two seasons, Pozin helped guide the program to a 36-8 overall record and back-to-back appearances in the Elite Eight of the Division III NCAA Tournament. Pozin led the Christopher Newport defense to heights it hasn't reached in program history. He guided the unit to one of the best statistical finishes in program history and ranked near the top of Division III in adjusted defensive efficiency and caused turnovers per game. Under Pozin, the Christopher Newport defense held opponents to a lower goals against average in both seasons. He improved the man-down defense from killing 67.4% of penalties in 2024 to 80.3% by 2026.
From 2018-2023, Pozin was the Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator of the Tidewater Patriots. On the field, Pozin was the 2022 Division III SSDM of the Year, and a Second Team All-American in 2023. In 2024, Pozin played for Torpey for one season at High Point.
"I was fortunate enough to coach Travis Dick for three years at High Point and in that time it was quite apparent that he was not only a great person but a tremendous leader," Torpey added. "I don't know of many people that love the game as much as Travis and I truly believe our players will see this upon their return to College Hill."
Dick played under Torpey for four seasons at High Point, where the Panthers earned Conference Tournament appearances in all four years with Dick on the squad. Most recently, he was a Graduate Assistant Coach at Mercer University. At Mercer, the program improved to 6-8 in 2026 after being 2-11 in 2025, Mercer went to the Atlantic Sun Tournament for the first time in four years. He was an offensive assistant and ran the scout defense while creating an advanced analytic system for player development.
