Men's Water Polo Kicks Off Conference Play on the Road

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – No. 18/19 Brown men's water polo begins NWPC play on the road with games at No. 9/9 Princeton, LIU and Iona over the weekend.
The Bears start the trip at Princeton on Saturday at 11 a.m. before finishing the day at LIU at 6 p.m. Brown closes out the weekend at Iona on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
The game against Princeton will be streamed on ESPN+ and the game at Iona will be on Iona Insider.

SCOUTING BROWN (5-3)
- The Bears are coming off a 2-0 weekend with wins over MIT and Johns Hopkins. Against the Engineers, Mate Tymcyna scored a career-best seven goals and in the win over Hopkins, Ilias Stothart had a season-best eight goals.
- Tymcyna and Stothart were named NWPC Co-Players of the Week after their performances.
- Tymcyna still leads the way for Brown's offense with 31 goals, with Stothart just behind at 30.
- A win over Princeton will snap a nine-game losing streak for the Bears against the Tigers. Brown last beat Princeton in 2019 with a 10-8 win at home. The last win at Princeton came on September 13 in 2009.
- The Bears have won all four meetings with Long Island, including three matchups last season.
- Brown has won 28-straight games against Iona with three wins last season.
- Pirnceton is 11-4 overall and 2-0 in league play with wins against Iona and LIU last weekend.
- The Tigers are led by Roko Pozaric with 33 goals and Gavin Appeldorn has 28.
- Long Island is 5-7 and is 0-1 in league play with a 27-13 loss to Princeton to start the weekend.
- Josep Jodra Munoz leads all scorers for the Sharks with 34 goals. Riyad Shehadeh is second on the team with 29.
- Iona is 6-7 overall on the season and is coming off wins against Johns Hopkins and Connecticut College. The Gaels will play Harvard before hosting Brown.
- Pavle Musikic leads the team with 42 goals and Luksa Vlasic is second on the squad with 30.
