Men's Soccer Set to Battle Penn in Ivy League Semifinals

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown men's soccer has clinched the inaugural Ivy League Tournament as the No. 4 seed and heads to Philadelphia to take on top-seeded Penn on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
The Bears finished the regular season with a 5-4-7 record with an unbeaten 2-0-5 mark in the Ivy league. Brown boasted the top defense in the league, conceding one goal in conference play. Penn posted a 7-3-5 record and 4-1-2 in the Ivy League. The Quakers won the conference regular season championship for the second-straight season.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online HERE prior to their arrival at Penn Park. Fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device or print them at home prior to arrival.

Scouting the Bears
- Brown enters the postseason on an 11-game unbeaten streak that started on Sept. 19.
- The Bears have not allowed a goal in their last five matches dating back to Oct. 14.
- Senior goalkeeper Hudson Blatteis tallied two saves in the regular season finale at Yale for his sixth clean sheet in eight starts.
- Blatteis leads the Ivy League with a 0.228 goals against average, a .926 save percentage and is tied for second with six shutouts.
- Brown saw six members of the team take home All-Ivy honors. Senior Kojo Dadzie was named to the First Team, while Blatteis and junior Jack Cloherty were picked to the Second Team, and senior Taha Kina, junior Harri Sprofera and freshman Lorenzo Amaral earned Honorable Mention nods.
- Penn has a strong defense as well, the Quakers have allowed 10 goals total and five in Ivy League matches.
- The Quakers are currently on a four-game winning streak defeating Lehigh (5-0), Harvard (2-1), Columbia (1-0), and Princeton (4-1).
- Penn has not lost in its last seven games and is 5-0-2 on their home pitch.
- First Team All-Ivy goalkeeper Nick Christoffersen has a .667 goals against average, .811 save percentage and leads the Ivy League with seven shutouts.
- Senior Michael Hewes ranks third in Ivy League with eight goals and has two assists for 18 points, while junior Stas Korzeniowski has five goals and seven assists.
