Men's Hockey Hits the Road to Face #10 Quinnipiac, Princeton

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (2-2-0, 1-2-0) hit the road for the first time this season to take on the 10th-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats (5-3-1, 1-0-1 ECAC) on Friday before squaring off against the Princeton Tigers (0-1-1, 0-1-1 ECAC) on Saturday.
Both games are set to begin at 7 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+ in the United States and on Stretch Internet internationally. Saturday's game at Princeton will also broadcast on NBC Sports Philadelphia.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the first road trip of the season after a weekend split with Colgate and Cornell at Meehan Auditorium last weekend. The Bears took a 3-2 win over Colgate before falling to the 10th-ranked Big Red.
- Freshman Max Scott leads the Bears with six assists and seven points. Ryan St. Louis has five goals to lead the team. Seven other Bears have multiple points through four games.
- Brown's power play enters the weekend with three goals in 16 attempts (18.8%). Brown's penalty kill is 9-for-10 (90%) to start the season.
- Between the pipes, Lawton Zacher has made three starts and holds a 2.45 goals against average and .928 save percentage. Sophomore Tyler Shea picked up his first career win in relief of Zacher against Colgate.
- Quinnipiac enters the weekend with a 5-4-1 overall record and 1-0-1 ECAC mark. The Bobcats rank tenth in both national polls.
- Quinnipiac's offense ranks third in the conference and 10th in the nation with 3.8 goals per game.
- Travis Treloar leads the Bobcats with four goals this season while Jacob Quillan leads the team with seven assists and 10 points.
- Quinnipiac's power play has struggled to start the season, entering the weekend 4-for-38 (10.5%) on the season.
- Defensively, the Bobcats rank second in the conference and in the nation with 1.8 goals against per game.
- BU transfer Vinny Duplessis holds a 1.53 goals against average and .937 save percentage in six starts.
- Quinnipiac's penalty kill has surrendered just one goal in 36 attempts (97.2%) to lead the ECAC and rank second nationally.
- Friday marks the 47th meeting between Brown and Quinnipiac dating back to 2006.
- Quinnipiac holds a 29-10-7 series record against the Bears and an 20-5-3 record at home.
- Princeton enters the weekend with a 0-1-1 overall and conference mark after opening the season with a tie against Harvard and loss to Dartmouth.
- The Tigers won the shootout against the Crimson for the extra league point.
- Princeton's offense struck for four goals in both games with eight different goal scorers. Adam Robbins and Nick Seitz lead the team with three assists apiece.
- Princeton's power play is 3-for-8 on the season while the penalty kill is just 4-for-7.
- Between the pipes, Ethan Pearson has started both games and holds a 4.39 goals against average and .813 save percentage. Arthur Smith replaced Pearson in the first period against Dartmouth and finished the game with 26 saves and three goals against.
- Brown and Princeton face off for the 181st time in series history on Saturday.
- Brown holds a 92-76-12 record against the Tigers dating back the first meeting in 1900.
- Brown's record on the road is 41-40-8 and 40-35-7 at Hobey Baker Rink.
- Freshman Max Scott leads the Bears with six assists and seven points through four games.
- Scott is tied for the NCAA lead with 1.50 assists per game alongside Princeton's Adam Robbins and Nick Seitz. Denver's Massimo Rizzo has 12 assists in eight games.
- Sophomore Ryan St. Louis is tied with Cornell's Gabriel Seger for the NCAA lead in goals per game at 1.25.
- Scott has recorded at least a point in his first four collegiate games, joining Justin Jallen '22 as the only Bears to record points in four straight games since the start of the 1999-2000 season.
- In addition to Scott and Jallen, only three other Bears have recorded points in consecutive games to begin a career - Alex Pineau, Alex Brink '19, and Sam Lafferty '18.
- Since 1999-2000, only 26 Bears have recorded a point in their collegiate debut.
