Men's Hockey Hosts LIU Friday, Travels to Stonehill Sunday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (3-6-0, 2-5-0 ECAC) continues the non-conference stretch at home against the LIU Sharks (5-10-0, Independent) on Friday before heading to Bridgewater, Massachusetts to take on the Stonehill Skyhawks (0-14-0, Independent) on Sunday.
Friday's game is set to begin at 7 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+ in the United States and on Stretch Internet internationally. Sunday's game will start at 4 p.m. and stream on NEC Front Row.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the weekend with a 3-6-0 overall record after suffering a 6-3 loss at Holy Cross last weekend. The Bears are tied for second in the ECAC with just three points separating second and 11th place.
- Brown's offense is led by freshman Max Scott, who has nine assists and 12 points this season. Ryan St. Louis leads the team with nine goals and is second on the team with 10 points.
- Brown's power play clicks at 16.1% with five goals in 31 attempts. St. Louis and Pineau both have two power play goals.
- Between the pipes, Lawton Zacher holds a 2.72 goals against average and .913 save percentage in six starts.
- The Bruno penalty kill has killed off 20-of-25 penalties (80%) this season.
- LIU enters Friday with a 5-10-0 overall record. The Sharks hold wins over Stonehill (2), Sacred Heart, Lindenwood, and St. Anselm.
- LIU's offense averages 2.9 goals per game to rank 30th in the nation. Remy Parker leads the team with eight goals and ranks fourth on the team with 10 points.
- Isaiah Fox leads the Sharks with 12 assists and 15 points.
- LIU's power play clicks at 18.7% (12-64) to rank in the middle of the NCAA.
- Defensively, LIU allows 3.1 goals per game. Between the pipes, Brandon Perrone holds a 3.03 goals against average and .903 save percentage in nine starts. Rico DiMatteo holds a 2.55 goals against average and .885 save percentage in six starts.
- LIU's penalty kill enters Friday at 75.8% (44-58) to rank 45th in the country.
- Friday marks the fourth meeting between Brown and LIU in a series dating back to the 2021-22 season.
- The Sharks won the first and third meetings with the Bears taking the win in the second meeting.
- Stonehill enters the weekend with a 0-14-0 overall record. The Skyhawks take on the Utica University Pioneers on Friday. Utica is the fourth-ranked team in NCAA Division III per the USCHO.com poll.
- Most recently, Stonehill suffered a 5-2 and 4-0 loss at Union.
- The Skyhawks average 1.5 goals per game and are led by Frank Ireland's five goals. Greg Japchen leads the team with seven assists and eight points.
- Stonehill's power play has six goals in 50 attempts (12%) to rank 57th nationally.
- Defensively, Stonehill allows 5.0 goals per game to rank at the bottom of the NCAA.
- Dylan Meilun holds a 4.97 goals against average and .884 save percentage in 12 starts. Gavin FitzPatrick holds a 4.35 goals against average and .861 save percentage in two starts.
- Stonehill's penalty kill ranks 53rd in the NCAA at 75.7% (50-66).
- Sunday marks the second meeting between Brown and Stonehill in a series that began this season.
- Brown took a 7-2 home win over the Skyhawks on Sunday, October 29.
- Max Scott leads the Bears with nine assists and 12 points through eight games.
- With 1.33 points per game, Scott ranks second in the ECAC, 14th in the NCAA, and fifth among freshmen.
