Men's Hockey Returns to Meehan to Host Clarkson, St. Lawrence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (2-4-0, 1-4-0 ECAC) return to Meehan Auditorium to host the Clarkson Golden Knights (4-5-0, 1-1-0 ECAC) on Friday before taking on the St. Lawrence Saints (3-6-1, 1-1-0 ECAC on Saturday night.
Both games this weekend are set to begin at 7 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+ in the United States and on Stretch Internet internationally.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the ECAC weekend with a 2-4-0 overall record and 1-4-0 ECAC mark. Two of Brown's conference losses have come in overtime, including a 3-2 overtime loss at Princeton most recently.
- Freshman Max Scott leads the Bears with six assists and eight points through six games. Sophomore Ryan St. Louis leads the Bears with six goals. Eight other Bears have multiple points through six games.
- Brown's power play clicks at 21.1% (4-for-19) to rank third in the conference and 22nd nationally.
- The penalty kill comes in at 76.9% (10-for-13) to rank ninth in the conference.
- Between the pipes, Lawton Zacher holds a .928 save percentage and 2.45 goals against average in two starts. Sophomore Tyler Shea holds a 4.39 goals against average and .884 save percentage in three starts.
- Clarkson enters the weekend with a 4-5-0 overall record and 1-1-0 conference record.
- Clarkson most recently fell to Rensselaer before taking a win over Union.
- The Golden Knights also hold wins over Notre Dame, Vermont, and Michigan Tech.
- Clarkson's offense averages 2.3 goals per game to rank ninth in the ECAC and tied for 54th nationally.
- Anthony Romano leads the team with five assists and six points. Ryan Taylor and Cody Monds lead the Golden Knights with three goals apiece.
- Clarkson's power play has three goals in 31 attempts (9.4%) to rank tenth in the conference and 60th in the country.
- Defensively, Clarkson ranks seventh in the conference and 42nd in the nation with 3.3 goals against per game.
- The penalty kill has allowed four goals in 29 attempts (86.2%) to rank 14th nationally.
- Between the pipes, PC transfer Austin Roden holds a 2.35 goals against average and .918 save percentage in six starts. Emmett Croteau holds a 2.75 goals against average and .871 save percentage in three starts.
- Friday marks the 104th meeting between Brown and Clarkson in a series dating back to 1952.
- Clarkson owns the series edge, 74-19-10, along with a 28-11-4 record at Meehan.
- St. Lawrence enters the weekend with a 3-6-1 overall record and 1-1-0 ECAC mark.
- The Saints lost to Union last weekend before taking a 6-3 win over RPI. The Saints also hold wins over RIT and Ferris State.
- The Saints average 2.7 goals per game to rank seventh in the conference and 38th in the nation.
- St. Lawrence's power play has eight goals in 42 attempts (18.6%) to rank eighth in the conference and 33rd in the country.
- Felikss Gavars leads the Saints with seven goals in 10 games. He and Tomas Mazura lead the team with 10 points apiece.
- Mason Waite also has seven assists and eight points.
- Defensively, St. Lawrence allows 4.5 goals per game to rank 11th in the ECAC and 60th in the country.
- The Saints' penalty kill clicks at 80.6% (29-36) to rank sixth in the conference and 32nd nationally.
- Between the pipes, Ben Kraws holds a 2.74 goals against average and .911 save percentage in eight starts.
- Saturday's game marks the 101st meeting between Brown and St. Lawrence dating back to 1952.
- St. Lawrence holds the advantage in the series, 52-33-15, along with a 19-18-5 record at Meehan.
- Brown was not assessed a penalty in the 3-2 win over Colgate (Nov. 3).
- It marked the first penalty-free game for the Bears since February 2, 2019 against Yale, a 4-3 loss.
- It's just the fourth game since the start of the 2011-12 season where the Bears have not been penalized.
- Brown was penalty-free in a 7-5 win over Colgate on December 29, 2015 and in a 3-2 win over Clarkson on January 11, 2013.
- With 4.7 penalty minutes per game, Brown is the least penalized team in the nation.
- Freshman Max Scott leads the Bears with six assists and eight points through six games.
- Scott is tied for seventh in the NCAA with 1.00 assists per game. Among freshmen, he ranks third.
- Scott's 1.33 points per game are tied for 18th nationally and fifth among freshmen. • Sophomore Ryan St. Louis is tied with Denver's Jack Levine for the NCAA lead in goals per game at 1.00.
