Softball finishes up season at Cornell

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown softball finishes up its season with a three-game series at Cornell over the weekend. The Bears and the Big Red will play two games on Saturday (April 30) and a single game on Sunday (May 1).
All three games of the series will be streamed on ESPN+.

ABOUT BROWN
The Bears come into the weekend with a 14-24 record and a 5-13 mark in Ivy League play. Brown split a series against Rhode Island on Wednesday, including a walk-off win in the second game of the series with a home run from Laurel Moody.
Vanessa Alexander leads the team with a .302 batting average and Elayna Tsiouplis is second on the squad, hitting .296. Tsiouplis leads the team with 29 hits.
Katie O'Leary leads Brown with 19 RBI and has hit three home runs.
In the circle, Brown has four pitchers with sub-3.00 ERAs led by Erin Elgas at 2.30. Elgas threw a complete game shutout against Harvard last weekend in her last Ivy League start.
Lauren Innerst leads Brown with 63 strikeouts and Alexis Guevara is right behind at 54.

Cornell is 14-17 on the year and 4-8 in Ivy League play. The Big Red lost two of three games to Yale in their last Ivy League series.
Olivia Rooney leads the lineup with a team-high .357 average and 30 hits. Hanna Crist leads the team with eight home runs.
Mia Burn has thrown the most innings for Cornell and as a 7-5 record with 44 strikeouts.
