Field Hockey Hosts #15 Harvard on Senior Day Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears close the 2022 campaign on Senior Day at Goldberger Family Field as the 15th-ranked Harvard Crimson (12-4, 5-1) head to College Hill for a Saturday afternoon clash.
Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+. Brown Field Hockey will recognize its six-member senior class prior to the game.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the weekend with an 8-8 overall record and looking to end the season on a high-note with a win on Senior Day.
- Freshman Lexi Pellegrino leads the Bears with 10 goals and 24 points. Her 10 goals rank eighth among freshmen in the NCAA and her 24 points rank seventh.
- Lucy Adams ranks second on the team with five goals and 15 points.
- Senior Lindsey Ross and sophomore Mikayla Walsh are tied for the team-lead with nine assists apiece. The duo is tied for 26th in the NCAA in assists.
- As a team, Brown's offense ranks second in the Ivy League with 2.06 goals per game.
- Senior goalkeeper Jodie Brine has started all 16 games for the Bears in 2022. Brine holds a 1.80 goals against average and .681 save percentage along with three shutouts.
- Harvard enters the 2022 finale with a 12-4 overall record and 5-1 Ivy League conference mark. The Crimson are looking for a share of the Ivy title with a win Saturday along with a Princeton loss at Columbia.
- All four of Harvard's losses have come against ranked opponents by a combined six goals.
- Harvard boasts the top-ranked defense in the Ivy League (1.13) along with the fourth-ranked offense (1.94). The Crimson also lead the conference and rank sixth in the nation with 8.00 penalty corners per game.
- Freshman Bronte-May Brough leads the Crimson with 10 goals and 21 points through 16 games. Junior Siofra Murdoch is second on the team with five goals.
- Senior Ellie Shabho is the reigning Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week and holds a .712 save percentage and 1.05 goals against average this season.
- Saturday's game marks the 50th meeting between Brown and Harvard in a series dating back to 1973. Harvard holds a 29-12-8 record in the series.
- Brown looks to capture its first win over Harvard since 2014, when the Bears won in double overtime for their second straight victory over the Crimson.
