Coed sailing qualifies for ACCs, women take third at Stu Nelson

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown sailing teams competed at three events this weekend.
The coed team finished in ninth at the Atlantic Coast Championship Qualifier, qualifying the Bears for the Coed Atlantic Coast Championship later this month. The Bears were represented in Division A by Connor Nelson and Isabel Cox and in Division B by Liam O'Keefe and Nora Ong.
The coed team also had a pair of teams at the Sister Esther Trophy where they claimed second and fifth place out of 16 teams. The second-place Bears were represented in Division A by Charlotte Costikyan, Emily Mueller, Catherine Morrissette, and Kaitlyn Hamilton and in Division B by Katharine Doble, Katherine McNamara, and Brianna Ross. In the fifth-place boats for the Bears were Jed Bell, William George, Lily Shore, and Helen Horangic in Division A, and Mason Stang, Connor Macken, Sierra Bornheim, and Talia Levine in Division B.
In their lone event of the weekend, the women's team took third place at the Stu Nelson Trophy out of 13 teams. Caroline Bayless and Menasha Leport sailed in Division A, while Blaire McCarthy and Francesca Edmands were in Division B and Brielle Willoughby and Emi Ruth in Division C.
