
Coed sailing wins NEISA Match Race Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown coed sailing team won the NEISA Match Race Championship this weekend for the team's second New England Championship of the fall season. The coed and women's team also competed across three other events on the weekend.
At the Match Race Championship, the Bears claimed first out of eight teams in attendance. Liam O'Keefe, Hunter Zonnenberg, Hannah Sellers, and Tommy Styron sailed for Brown.
The women took fourth of 18 at the Atlantic Coast Championship. Yale, Dartmouth, and Boston College claimed the top three spots. Bears competing in Division A were Caroline Bayless, Brielle Willoughby, Menasha Leport, Nora Ong, and Francesca Edmands. Blaire McCarthy, Savannah Young, and Edmands represented Brown in Division B.
The coed team took seventh of 15 at the Captain Hurst Bowl. Jed Bell and Lily Shore competed in Division A, William George and Helen Horangic in Division B, and Leyton Borcherding and Caroline Keeffe-Jones in Division C.
The coed team also competed at the Savin Hill Invite at Boston College, taking third out of 16 teams. Mason Stang and Catherine Morrissette made up the Bears' team in Division A, while Katharine Doble and Brianna Ross were in Division B.
