The Bears will be looking to bounce back after their close 2-1 loss at Notre Dame, while the Friars will be trying to do the same after their 3-2 defeat to Wisconsin. The game will be broadcast live on FloSports.
Scouting the Bears (4-2-0):
- Starting with the Aug. 29 win against Holy Cross, and even while including last Sunday's loss at Notre Dame, the Bears have outscored their opponents 15-4 during that span. In those five games, 10 different players have scored a goal with Ava Seelenfreund's three leading the pack. Three players have scored twice.
- Kayla Duran currently leads the team with four assists during her first season of action with the Bears. Two of those assists have come on services from Duran on free kicks.
- Brown just missed out on its second Power Five victory of the season in the loss to the ACC's Notre Dame. The Bears had already defeated Oklahoma State of the Big 12. At the same time, the game against Providence does present Brown with an opportunity for its second win over Big East competition this season, having already taken down UConn.
- Providence suffered just its second loss of the season last time out at Wisconsin. The only other Friar loss came at the hands of No. 22 Rutgers back on Aug. 29. Providence fell in that one 5-1.
- Five of the Friars' seven games have been decided by two or more goals. The only games decided by less than two are the loss to Wisconsin and a 1-1 tie to URI to start the season.
- Providence's 18 goals have been scored by eight different players. Meg Hughes leads the way with five on the year. Her 12 points is also a team high.
- The Bears lead the all-time series against the Friars at 21-10-0.
- Last time the two sides faced off, Brown came away with a 1-0 win on Sept. 15, 2019. Before that, Providence had won six in a row, dating back to 2011.
