Men's Hockey Heads to Boston College for Tuesday Night Tilt Against the Eagles

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (3-7-0, 3-5-0 ECAC) hit the road for a non-conference game against the Boston College Eagles (7-5-2, 5-3-1 HEA) Tuesday night at Conte Forum.

- Brown enters Tuesday with a 3-7-0 overall record and 3-5-0 ECAC conference mark. The Bears took consecutive shutout wins over Harvard (Dec. 3) and Dartmouth (Dec. 4) last weekend to jump back into the thick of the conference standings.
- Michael Maloney leads the Bears with three goals, Justin Jallen leads the Bears with five assists, Jallen and Cole Quisenberry lead the Bears with five points apiece.
- Between the pipes, Mathieu Caron leads the Bears with a 2.46 goals against and a .933 save percentage. His .933 save percentage ranks second in the ECAC and ninth in the NCAA. He was named ECAC Goaltender of the Week following the weekend against the Crimson and Big Green.
- Brown's penalty kill ranks sixth in the conference and 12th in the NCAA with an 86.4% success rate (38-for-44).
- Boston College enters Tuesday with a 7-5-2 overall record and 5-3-1 Hockey East mark. The Eagles are receiving votes in both the USCHO.com and the USA Hockey / USA Today polls.
- The Eagles most recently took a win and tie against Maine on November 18 and 19.
- Jack McBain and Marc McLaughlin lead the Eagles with nine goals apiece. McBain leads the team with 19 points.
- BC owns the top-ranked offense in Hockey East, averaging 3.43 goals per game. That mark is good for 14th in the NCAA. Six Eagles have double-digit points through 14 games and 19 skaters in total have recorded at least one point.
- Between the pipes, Eric Dop has started 12 games and holds a 2.56 goals against and a .900 save percentage.
- Tuesday night marks the 74th meeting between Brown and Boston College in a series dating back to 1933. It marks just the third meeting between the Bears and Eagles since 2000.
