Women’s Hockey Set for Midweek Battle at Saint Anselm

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's hockey will head back out on the road for a two-game road trip to close out non-conference play, starting on Thursday evening with a visit to Saint Anselm. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
HISTORY
The matchup will serve as the third all-time meeting between the two programs, with Brown holding a 1-0-1 record against the Hawks. The two teams played on back-to-back days in Providence in January 2020, with Brown emerging victorious 1-0 in game one, before skating to a 3-3 tie in game two.

Brown will close out the month of December with a trip to Holy Cross on Friday, December 10 at 6 p.m.

- Brown is coming off a hard fought 4-2 defeat to Providence in the Mayor's Cup at home on Saturday. The Bears held a 2-1 lead through two periods, before falling behind for the first time in a three-goal third period for the Friars.
- Senior forward Shay Maloney scored both goals for the Bears, moving her into the team lead with five goals and eight points this season.
- Anna Shelden picked up an assist against Providence, giving her six points on the season, tying her for third on the team with five other players in that category.
- Brown has scored first in three of its last four games.
SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM (5-10-1, 3-4-1 NEWHA)
- Much like the Bears, the Hawks also have a 1-0 win this season over Dartmouth, after Saint Anselm earned a split with the Big Green this past weekend.
- Saint A's other non-conference victory came in their season opener at Maine.
- The Hawks enter the contest scoring 1.6 goals per game and allowing 3.0.
- Senior forward Erin Meyers leads the team with nine points (4g, 5a). Gracee Donovan also has four goals, two of which have been game-winners.
- Junior Allie Kelley has started 15 of the team's 16 games in goal, holding a 3.10 GAA and a .927 save pct.
