Men's soccer hosts Penn in Ivy matchup

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's soccer team will continue Ivy League play this Saturday, Oct. 30 at 3 p.m. at home against Penn.
The Bears are coming off a solid nonconference win over Holy Cross, while the Quakers most recently tied Yale, 0-0.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online at BrownBears.com/tickets prior to their arrival at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Brown Athletics has moved to completely contactless ticketing, so fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device or print them at home prior to arrival.
Scouting the Bears (4-8-1, 1-2-1 IVY):

Scouting the Bears (4-8-1, 1-2-1 IVY):
- Wednesday's victory over the Crusaders snapped a four-game winless skid for Brown. Kojo Dadzie tied the game at one and Jack Cloherty scored his first collegiate goal for the game-winner in the 77th minute.
- Dadzie's goal was his third of the year and he sits at second on the team with seven points. Derek Waleffe also scored against the Crusaders and leads the team with eight goals and 17 points.
- Will Crain had the assist on Dadzie's goal and now leads the team with four on the year.
- Penn's offense is averaging 1.69 goals per game, good four fourth in the Ivy League.
- Three Quakers sit atop the team in terms of points, with Matt Leigh leading the way with 13 from five goals and three assists. Joey Bhangdia also has five goals in addition to his two assists for 12 points. Ben Stitz also has 12 points with eight of those coming from assists.
- In goal, Penn has split time pretty evenly between Nick Chirstoffersen and Dane Jacomen, with Jacomen starting seven of the team's 13 games. Christofferesen has the better goals against average at .98, but Jacomen leads in save percentage with a .809.
- Brown leads the all-time series against Penn at 33-25-8. Each of the past four games between the Bears and Quakers have gone to overtime, with Penn holding the 2-1-1 edge.
- The teams tied 1-1 in 2019 after trading a pair of goals in the second half. Brown struck first, but the Quakers tied it up in the 65th minute and the game would remain tied throughout the rest of regulation and overtime.
