
Men’s Hockey Heads to Bentley for Tuesday Matchup

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's hockey team will play its first non-conference game of the season on Tuesday night when the Bears visit Bentley at Bentley Arena. The game will be broadcast on FloHockey.TV.

Last Time Out
Brown split a pair of conference games at home over the weekend, falling in overtime to No. 8 Clarkson, 2-1, before topping St. Lawrence, 3-2. Zach Giuttari scored a game-tying goal against Clarkson in the second period to force overtime, but Greg Moro notched the winner for the Golden Knights at 3:16 in OT. The Bears rebounded the next night with a trio of first-period goals from Justin Jallen, Luke Krys and Brent Beaudoin, and then held off a late attack to secure the win. Gavin Nieto made 33 saves in the win, including 15 in the third period. He posted a 1.96 GAA and a .939 save percentage in the two-game span.
Scouting Bentley
Bentley is 3-8-0 overall and 2-7-0 in Atlantic Hockey after dropping its last four games, including a pair to Robert Morris at home over the weekend. Bentley is averaging 2.55 goals per game, ranked fourth in that category among Atlantic Hockey teams, and is currently 18.9 percent on the power play. Jakov Novak leads the team with seven goals and 13 points, including three on the power play, and Jonathan Desbiens has seven assists. Bentley has started three different goalies so far this season. Aiden Pelino leads the group with eight starts, while Fraser Kirk has a team-best 2.16 GAA and a .911 save percentage.
