Men's Crew Completes 53rd Head of the Charles Regatta

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Brown University men's crew raced two boats in the men's championship eight event as the Bears wrapped up the second and final day of the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta Sunday afternoon along the banks of the Charles River.
Brown's A boat placed ninth out of 26 entries in the Men's Championship Eights as the crew finished the course in a time of 13:48.43, edging fellow Ivy rival Dartmouth. California topped the field at 13:27.46, followed by Sudbury and Yale. The Brown B entry finished in 24th place, crossing the finish line in a time of 14:26.21.
The Bears also entered a pair of boats in the Men's Club Eight event on Saturday, as the A boat took sixth out of 36 entries, completing the course at 15:04.27. Brown's B boat turned in a 16-place finish in a time of 15:33.81.
In addition, Brown placed 18th out of 50 boats in the Alumni Eight event, crossing at 15:50.25.
Brown will round out the fall schedule on Sunday, November 12 at the Foot of the Charles.
