Brown Men's Crew: Program Success
As of 2021, Brown has placed in the top 10 nationally for the past 18 seasons and has finished second in the nation twice and third twice. The Brown varsity took home bronze medals at the Eastern Sprints in 2018 and 2019. From 2008-19, the Bears' varsity eight earned medals at the Eastern Sprints in nine of 12 years.

International Experiences: The Olympics, World Championships, and More
The Bears have a long tradition of sending athletes to the Olympics and World Championships as well as competing at the Henley Royal Regatta and The Boat Race. Brown has gained representation in men's rowing at every Olympic Games since 1972. In all, 20 Brown oarsmen have made 34 appearances in Olympic competition. Brown had two athletes selected for the 2020 Tokyo Olympcs, Anders Weiss '15 and Alex Miklasevich '19.• Brown at the Olympics

Marston Boathouse
The Hunter S. Marston Boathouse is the home of men's and women's crew at Brown and is located near India Point Park in Providence on the Seekonk River, where all crew races are held. A major renovation to the boathouse began in the summer of 2018. Phase I of the renovation, which included fortifying and expanding the dock and pier, was completed prior to the start of the 2018-19 academic year, while Phase II, which included extensive interior renovations, was completed during the 2020-21 academic year.

Brown Strength and Conditioning
Brown athletes have a 10,000 square foot facility for strength, conditioning, and injury prevention training throughout the year. Each program is provided a comprehensive workout program tailored specifically to each sport, and can be broken down even further to be tailored to each individual athlete.

Why Brown?
Located in Providence, Rhode Island, Brown University boasts being ranked 14th among all Universities in the country, and 3rd in the Undergraduate Learning Experience. Students are challenged intellectually through the Open Curriculum, where essentially they are able to choose their classes based on their passions and interests. Students can also choose to take classes for a grade or S/NC. This allows for a more collaborative and discussion-based learning experience where students can explore their intellectual curiosity and focus on the material, as opposed to solely being worried about GPA and grades.
