Chris Dart will enter his fifth season as the Brown men's swimming & diving assistant coach in 2018-19.
In his four years on College Hill, the program has had nine student-athletes named CSCAA Honorable Mention All-American and the program has earned three CSCAA Scholar All-American team honors. The team has also broken and re-broken multiple school records in his three seasons, in addition to improving their overall point total each year at the Ivy League Championship meets.
Dart joined the Bears after spending a year as an assistant swimming coach of the Camana Bay Aquatics Club in the Cayman Islands, allowing him to develop his skills as a stroke technician capable of teaching proper technique to swimmers of all ages and abilities.
At Camana Bay, Dart assisted with day-to-day operations, long-term planning, and organizing travel. He also helped guide multiple swimmers to the Cayman Islands National Team and served as lead coach of the Cayman Islands National Development Team.
Dart also organized and ran a 250+ person Masters program and was responsible for the first ever Masters-Only swim meet in the Cayman Islands.
A decorated student-athlete at Clemson University from 2008-12, Dart was a four-time All-ACC Academic Team selection and two-time All-American Athletic Scholar. He was also a three-time ACC Swimming Champion, holding eight Clemson team records during his tenure. Dart was also a member of the Great Britain Junior National team in 2008, boasting a top-10 finalist designation in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic trials.
A native of Chatham, N.J., Dart holds dual citizenship of the United States and the United Kingdom.
