Men’s Swim and Dive Returns to Ivy Play, Visit Harvard on Saturday

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – The Brown men's swimming and diving team (2-3, 1-3 Ivy) will resume conference play this weekend when they visit Blodgett Pool in Cambridge, Mass., to take on the Harvard Crimson (4-0, 3-0 Ivy) on Saturday at 11 a.m. The dual can be watched live on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE BEARS

The Bears last competed on Dec. 6 in a 208-87 victory over Bryant.
This season, Brown has 34 event wins.
- Rowland Lawver has eight total victories: 1-meter dive (Dartmouth/Princeton, Yale, Bucknell, Bryant) and 3-meter dive (Yale, Penn, Bucknell, Bryant).
- Marton Nagy holds seven victories: 100 backstroke (Penn, Bryant), 200 backstroke (Penn, Bucknell), 200 IM (Penn, Bucknell), and 400 IM (Bucknell).
- Rory O'Connor has three 500 freestyle wins this season (Dartmouth/Princeton, Penn, Bucknell) and a 1650 free win (Bucknell).
- Christopher Zhang has three victories in the 100-yard freestyle (Yale, Penn, Bryant).
- Matteo Vasiliadis won the 1-meter dive at Penn.
- Donavan Jeng won the 50 free and 100 butterfly (Bryant).
- Nagy, Moore, Jeng, and Jonathan Gim won the 200 'A' medley relay against Bryant.
- Nagy, Zhang, Erik Nadecki, and Finn Quested won the 800 free relay at Bucknell.
- Will Cicco won the 1000 freestyle against Bryant.
- Christian Duetoft won the 500 freestyle (Bryant).
- Chris Chang won the 200 freestyle (Bryant)
- Max Moore placed first in the 100 breaststroke (Bryant).
- Jack Maron won the 200 backstroke (Bryant).
- Jake Regenwetter also placed first in the 200 breaststroke (Bryant).
- Matthew Purcell won the 200 butterfly (Bryant).
Last season, Brown fell to Harvard 182-118 at home.

SCOUTING THE CRIMSON

The Crimson are currently undefeated this season (4-0, 3-0 Ivy), with conference wins over Dartmouth, Cornell, and Columbia.
Harvard placed second at the Ivy League Championships last season.
The Crimson most recently competed in the Minnesota Invitational, placing third, behind No. 6 California and Minnesota.
- The Crimson notched three NCAA qualifying times at the invite: David Schmitt (200 fly), William Mulgrew (1650 free), and Pablo Martinez (1650 free).
Key players of Harvard's team are Schmitt, Martinez, Raphael Tourette, Adriano Arioti, Sonny Wang, and Joshua Chen.

UP NEXT
Brown will return home for a Senior Day on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 12 p.m. to host Columbia. The dual will be streamed on ESPN+ and is the final home meet of the season.
