Baseball to Face off Against Harvard on Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown baseball team will hit the road for a mid-week Ivy League matchup on Tuesday afternoon as the Bears will take on the Harvard Crimson in Cambridge to finish off the season series. The two teams previously split a doubleheader back on April 4 before their scheduled Easter Sunday matchup was postponed.

- The Bears are coming off a doubleheader split with Columbia at home on Saturday. Sunday's finale was postponed due to rain.
- Brown's team ERA in Ivy League play is 3.15, good for the best mark in the league.
- Entering Tuesday, Brown is in second place in the Ivy League standings, 1.0 game behind Yale and 1.0 game ahead of third place Penn. The Bears have two games in hand on each team.
- Senior pitcher Dylan Reid ranks sixth overall in the Ivy League with a 3.58 ERA. In Ivy League games, his 1.80 ERA is tied for the second-lowest.
- Senior Mika Petersen has been a force in Ivy League games, leading the league in average (.451). He has reached base in 23 of the last 24 games and has a 12-game hitting streak.
- Senior Mark Henshon has reached base in 22 of his last 26 games.
- Sophomore outfielder Alex Benevento is tied for the second-most RBIs on the team with 23. He is hitting .304 on the season and is second on the team with 12 steals. He also is tied for the team lead in home runs with Jack Edmunds with four.
- Senior DJ Dillehay leads the team with 30 RBIs and is tied for the team lead with seven doubles.
- Freshman shortstop Matt Luigs is hitting .283 and leads the team with 19 walks and 15 steals. He also had a five-game hitting streak.
SCOUTING HARVARD (8-21, 6-8)
- Harvard rallied with four runs in the eighth inning to salvage the final game of their series over the weekend against Dartmouth, winning Saturday's finale 7-6.
- Senior Gio Colasante is hitting .415 in Ivy League games, good for third in the league.
- Jack Rickheim ranks third in league games with a .638 slugging percentage and is eighth with a .345 batting average.
- Harvard's 4.21 team ERA in Ivy games ranks third in the league.
- Tuesday's projected starter Luca Alagheband has a 7.80 ERA overall this year with 24 strikeouts across 30.0 innings.
