Petersen Named ABCA/Rawlings All-Region

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Ivy League's Player of the Year has another honor to add to his 2026 accolades, as senior Mika Petersen has been named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Northeast Region Second Team, the organizations announced on Tuesday.
Petersen recently capped his Brown career with a host of recognitions, including being named the Ivy League's Player of the Year and a unanimous First Team All-League honoree.
In Ivy League contests, Petersen led the league in average (.443), on-base (.531), slugging (.785), OPS (1.316) and hits (35). He also ranked tied for third in doubles (8), fourth in runs scored (22), and was tied for second with two triples. For the second time in his career, he was the winner of the Blair Bat Award for winning the league batting title after previously winning the award as a freshman in 2023. Overall, he hit .343 on the season with a .548 slugging percentage, both of which ranked third in the league. He finished his career ranked fifth in program history with 201 hits and sixth with 621 career at bats. His 38 stolen bases also sit just outside the program's top-10.

As a team, Brown is coming off a successful first season under Holbrook in 2026, going 23-20 overall and making a run to the finals of the Ivy League Tournament as the No. 3 seed.
