
Baseball Tops Dartmouth 7-5 to Take Weekend Series

All nine of Brown's starters reached base with seven different players recording hits. Meusy went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs scored, including a home run. Matt Luigs and Mika Petersen picked up two hits apiece and Alex Benevento had an RBI double.
Senior Dylan Reid went 6.0 innings to earn the win, allowing eight hits and four earned runs with three strikeouts. Camren Piwnicki tossed 1.0 scoreless inning, and Christian Keel went the final 2.0 innings for his fifth save.
After Dartmouth put two runs on the board in the second, Brown answered with five runs in the top of the third. Benevento doubled in Petersen to start the scoring, Christian Butera had an RBI ground out, and Meusy followed with a single to put the Bears in front for good. Mark Henshon later scored on a passed ball and Meusy scored on a throwing error to make it 5-2.

Dartmouth added a run in the bottom of the third, but the Bears extended the lead to 7-3 in the fifth when Meusy drove a two-run shot out to left field.

Dartmouth pulled within 7-5 with a solo homer in the sixth, and a walk and double in the eighth. The Big Green then put the tying run on base and brought the winning run to the plate with no outs in the ninth, but Keel rebounded to strike out the next three batters to lock down the win.
Brown will return home for a midweek matchup on Tuesday, April 14 against Holy Cross. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
