Doubles Sweep Guides Men’s Tennis Over Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Brown men's tennis team (10-5) took down Navy (14-12) with a 4-2 victory on Saturday as the Bears' two doubles pairings both earned victories.
In doubles, Noah Hernandez and Zander Bravo beat Charlie Spencer and Herrick Legaspi, 6-2, while Theo Murphy and Ivan Sodan grabbed another win against Lachlan Buckingham and Ethan Garcia, 6-3.
On the singles courts, Brown picked up a strong win from Lukas Phimvongsa, who earned a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Tommy Kim. Hernandez added another solid performance with a 6-3, 6-4 win against J.J. Etterbeek. Robert Yang earned a three-set win against George Cutone, going 4-6, 6-1, 6-1. Elliot Wasserman battled against Jason Kim, ultimately dropping 4-6, 2-6, and Sodan fell to Herrick Legaspi 6-4, 6-2.
The Bears return to action tomorrow, Sunday, March 8, when they travel to Washington, D.C. to compete against Georgetown at 10 a.m.
