Sailing Opens Spring Season with Strong Weekend

The No.4 nationally ranked open team finished third overall, losing a tie breaker for second place in the Liam O'Keefe Team Race Trophy at Brown on Saturday. The Bears finished with a 5-2 record in the eight team event. The open team also competed in the McMerrick Cup Team Race Trophy at Roger Williams on Sunday, finishing second overall. The group finished with a 6-1 record in the eight team event.
Up Next
Originally scheduled to be hosted by Harvard, the Wood Trophy Team Race will now be hosted by Brown this weekend from Mar. 7-8. The open team will also compete in the Team Race Invitational at Salve Regina on Saturday. The women's team will travel to Annapolis, Md. for the Jen Harris Team Race at the U.S. Naval Academy from Mar. 7-8.
