PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown sailing teams competed in three events this past weekend, posting top two finishes in all of them.
The No. 2 women's sailing team finished second out of 12 teams overall at the Jen Harris Team Race at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. The Bears finished with an 8-1 record, losing to No. 1 Stanford. There was no racing on Sunday due to lack of wind.
The No. 4 open sailing team finished second out of seven teams overall at the Wood Trophy Team Race hosted by Harvard at Brown. The event was moved to Brown earlier in the week due to ice on the Charles River. Brown finished the event with a 17-4 record, falling to No. 1 Harvard.
The open team also competed in the Salve Regina Team Race in Newport, R.I. on Saturday. Brown won the eight-team event with a perfect 10-0 record.
