SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – A pair of unearned runs undid the Brown baseball team in a 3-1 loss on Sunday afternoon in the rubber match of a three-game series at Seton Hall.

Senior Dylan Reid started on the mound for Brown and allowed just one earned run on three hits with three strikeouts over 5.0 innings. Brenden Kline did not allow an earned run over 2.0 innings of work, and Christian Keel tossed a scoreless inning. Offensively, Mark Henshon had a hit, walk and run scored.

Seton Hall outhit Brown 7-4 in the game and got on the board in the second inning when a baserunner raced home from third on a throw down to second on a steal attempt.

The pitcher's duel continued into the sixth inning when SHU scored another run on a two-out error, followed by a single. Another unearned run in the seventh made it a SHU 3-0 lead.

The Bears got one run back in the eighth inning, putting four straight runners aboard after two outs. After two hits and a hit batter loaded the bases, Logan Meusy was hit by a pitch to force in a run.

The Bears will return home on Wednesday afternoon to host Northeastern at Attanasio Family Field at Murray Stadium. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. on ESPN+.
