Women’s Lacrosse Set to Host Holy Cross for Home Opener on Thursday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's lacrosse team (0-1) will host Holy Cross (1-2) for its home opener on Thursday, the opening draw control is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
Scouting Brown
In their season opener, the Bears fell 9-8 in a tight contest at USC (Feb. 15). Ruby Sliwkowski led the way offensively with a career-high four goals. Riley Peterson added two goals for the Bears while Mackenzie Conway stopped eight shots in her collegiate debut in goal.
Brown has won two-straight home openers under Dowd. Last season, the Bears owned a 5-2 record at Stevenson-Pincince Field and held a 2-1 home record in non-conference play.
Scouting Holy Cross
Holy Cross enters its matchup with Brown after defeating Stonehill 18-8 in its last outing (Feb. 14). The Crusaders have scored 32 goals in three games so far this season, highlighted by Hadley Sepiel, who has 10 goals.
Holy Cross has had less turnovers than all three of its opponents this season and have had more draw controls than two of its opponents.
History
Brown is 22-2 all-time against Holy Cross and have won eight-straight games in the matchup. Last season, the Bears defeated the Crusaders 22-6.
