No. 25 Women’s Lacrosse Opens 2026 Season at USC on Sunday

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The No. 25 Brown women's lacrosse team will open its 2026 season at #RV USC (1-1) on Sunday, Feb. 15. The opening draw control is scheduled for 4 p.m. EST at Rawlinson Stadium.
Scouting Brown
The Bears earned a multitude of preseason recognition after being ranked No. 25 in the Inside Lacrosse Preseason Poll and No. 22 in the IWLCA Preseason Poll. Brown was also selected fourth in the Ivy League Preseason Poll and Codi Johnson was named a Preseason Honorable Mention All-American by USA Lacrosse.
Brown has won 12 consecutive season openers dating back to the 2012 season. Last season, the Bears opened their season with a 4-0 record for the first time since the 2014 campaign. Overall, Brown went 6-2 in non-conference action last season.
Scouting USC
The Trojans enter Sunday's contest after falling 15-4 against No. 22 Denver (Feb. 12). In its season opener, USC earned a 16-9 win over Cal (Feb. 8).
Vivian Leuthold leads the Trojans with five goals in two games, Emma Bunting's six points tops USC.
History
Brown is 1-0 all-time against USC, with the Bears winning the lone matchup 9-8 in double overtime during the 2013 season.
Overall, the Bears are 5-19 all-time against Big 10 opponents, with their last victory over a Big 10 opponent coming on Apr. 9, 2014 against Michigan.

Brown will welcome Holy Cross for its home opener on Thursday, Feb. 19, the opening draw control is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Fans can purchase tickets here.
