
Women's Water Polo Travels To California For Santa Clara Invite

PROVIDENCE, RI - Brown women's water polo team (5-2) will travel to Santa Clara, California, this weekend for the Santa Clara Invite.
Their first game will be on Friday, Feb. 13, against Pacific (3-3) , starting at 5:30 p.m ET. For their second day of play, on Saturday, Feb. 14th, the Bears will compete against San Jose State (1-6) at 4:30 p.m. ET and Santa Clara (1-6) at 8:15 p.m. ET. On their last day in California, the team will play against Cal State Monterey Bay (5-5) at 1:30 p.m. ET.
During their last games at the Princeton Invite, the Bears had a 2-1 record overall. They earned their wins Saturday, Jan. 31, against Mount St. Mary's (15-5) and Sunday, Feb. 1 , against Siena (19-5). Ava Schoening and Aubrie Anderson lead the team with seven goals each throughout the weekend. Sofia Flierl followed with six goals, with Ella Palmer and Megan Newby each also scoring five goals for the Bears.
Sarah Decker had 18 saves for the Bears, with Okafo Somto following with 17 saves for the team.
