Women's Water Polo Overwhelms No. 22 Pacific, 16-7

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Brown women's water polo (6-2) blew past No. 22 Pacific (3-4) with a 16-7 win to start play at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational on Friday (Feb. 13).
Sofia Holman led Brown with three goals. Madeliene Poissonnier, Emmy Hensley, Alexandra Love and Audrey Long all netted two goals for the Bears.
Somto Okafo finished with six saves in net.
The Bears jumped out early, leading the Tigers 5-1 after the first quarter and pushed the lead to 8-3 at halftime.
Brown led 11-5 after three quarters and put the game away with three-straight goals to start the fourth.

Brown will play two games on Saturday (Feb. 14)., taking on San Jose State (4:30 p.m. ET) and Santa Clara (8:15 p.m. ET)
