
Women's Water Polo Falls To No. 1 Harvard In Overtime

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -Â Brown women's water polo dropped a tough overtime game to No. 1 seed Harvard, 11-8, in the semifinals for the CWPA Tournament in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Saturday (April 11).
Brown started strong, with Maddie Poissonnier leading the charge, scoring three goals. The Bears took a 4-2 lead in the first quarter, with Sofia Flierl scoring two, Cleo Washer adding one, and Ava Schoening scoring the fourth in the first period. The Bears led 5-4 at halftime.Â
In the fourth quarter, Brown made a late push, tying the game at 8-8 with goals from Poissonnier and Alexandra Love. In overtime, Harvard pulled away, outscoring Brown 3-0 in the extra time.Â
In goal, Somto Okafo made five saves.Â

The Bears will play the loser of game six to determine the third-place team at 10:30 am tomorrow (April 11).Â
