PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown wrestling (3-7, 0-3 Ivy) shared the Pizzitola Sports Center for the annual Rumble & Tumble, falling to Princeton (3-8, 1-2 Ivy), 27-18, on Sunday afternoon.
"We weren't pleased with the way we competed against Penn. We lost focus and got outworked in too many spots," Marvin Wilenzik '56 Head Coaching Chair for Brown Wrestling Jordan Leen said. "I am proud of the way they responded and bounced back against Princeton, putting us in a better position to win."
Khimari Manns (141) got things started for the Bears by securing a 7-4 decision over Matthew Martino. Manns, who finished the weekend 1-1, picked up the first Ivy League dual win of his college career with today's result.Â
Ethan Mojena (157) earned Brown's second win of the afternoon with an 8-6 decision against Gavin Hawk.Â
No. 19 Andrew Reall (197) picked up the most decisive win of the day for Bruno, defeating Conor McCloskey via pinfall in 4:48. No. 25 Alex Semenenko (285) would go on to win his match via forfeit, pushing the Bears to their final tally of 18 points.Â
The Bears visit the Big Apple to take on Columbia on Feb. 15.
