Men’s Basketball Opens Ivy League Play Against Yale on Monday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's basketball team (6-7) will open Ivy League play against Yale (11-2) on Monday, Jan. 5. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Pizzitola Sports Center.

Last Time Out
Brown concluded non-conference play with a 105-47 win over Johnson & Wales (Dec. 31).
Seven Bears scored in double figures as Landon Lewis led the way with a season-high 19 points. Charlie O'Sullivan added 17 points while David Rochester added 13 and Luke Paragon added 12.
Brown's 54 rebounds were the most since they grabbed 50 against Bryant (Nov. 26, 2021).
Scouting Brown
After opening the season 0-4. Brown has rattled off wins in six of its last nine games to enter Ivy League action with a 6-7 overall record.
The Bears have won four-straight games at home and will look to win five-straight at home since the 2018-19 season.
N'famara Dabo leads the Ivy League in total blocks (28), blocks per game (2.2), and offensive rebounds per game (2.7). Jeremiah Jenkins leads the Ivy League in assists per game (5.0), total assists (65), steals per game (2.0), and total steals (26).
Over the last four games, Luke Paragon has shot 16-27 from the floor and 14-24 from beyond the arc; the junior is averaging 11.5 points per game during this stretch.
Scouting Yale
Yale's loss at Alabama in its non-conference finale (Dec. 29) snapped an eight-game winning streak.
The Bulldogs are second in the nation in three-point percentage (43.1) and 10th in assist/turnover ratio (1.87).
Nick Townsend leads Yale with 17.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game, all three rank in the top five of the Ivy League. Isaac Celiscar leads the Ivy League with a 62.0 field goal percentage and Jordan Braithwaite leads the Ivy League with a 57.9 three-point percentage.
