SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced on Thursday that the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic will return to the MassMutual Center on Sunday, December 6 featuring the Brown Bears and the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils.
UMass and Wake Forest are also part of the Hall of Fame Classic, the event is made possible in partnership with Explore Western Mass, Springfield Business Improvement, UMass, and the MassMutual Center.
"We are excited to participate in the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic at the MassMutual Center in December," Men's Basketball Head Coaching Chair Mike Martin '04 said. "It will be a great opportunity for our program to compete in the city of Springfield, the birthplace of basketball, against a really strong, tradition-rich program in Central Connecticut State."
Brown and Central Connecticut State will renew a series that was last played in 2022, with the Bears winning seven out of the last nine matchups between the programs.
