
Women's Water Polo Heads to New Jersey for Princeton Invite

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown women's water polo team (3-1) will travel to Princeton, N.J., for the Princeton Invite this weekend. The Bears were ranked No. 21 in the most recent Top 25 poll.
The Bears will play their first game of the weekend at 9 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 31) against Mount St. Mary's (0-0), with the second game of the weekend starting at 3 p.m. against No. 22 Marist (2-0). They will finish off the weekend away on Sunday (February 1) at 2 p.m. against Siena (1-2).Â
Last weekend, the Bears hosted the Bruno Invite, finishing the weekend 2-1. They earned their first win of the weekend against LIU on Friday Jan. 23 (16-3) with Madeleine Poissonnier, Sofia Holman, and Aubrie Anderson each scoring three goals.Â
The Bears, could not get ahead of #7 Indiana, finishing their second game of the weekend with a final score of 12-9 on Saturday morning, Jan. 24
Their second win was captured during game three of the weekend on Jan. 24, against Villanova (14-5). Cleo Washer, Anderson, Ava Schoening, Holman, and Alexandra Love all scored two goals during game three.
Sarah Decker had a team-high 19 saves throughout the weekend, with Somto Okafo following with another 15 saves.Â
