Cave Named USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Charlie Cave picked up USA Lacrosse Division I Preseason All-America honors. Cave earned a spot on the Honorable Mention All-America squad, announced by the organization Tuesday morning.
A total of 84 athletes from 31 institutions earned Preseason All-America honors. Cave is one of 15 Ivy Leaguers named to an All-America team and one of 10 defensemen named to the Honorable Mention squad.
Maryland and Princeton lead the nation with seven selections apiece.
It marks the second straight year Cave has picked up Preseason All-America recognition from USA Lacrosse. Cave previously earned the honor last season as a junior.
Following the 2025 season, Cave was named an Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American and Second Team All-Ivy.
Cave and the Bears open the 2026 season on Saturday, February 14 with a trip to take on Fairfield.
