CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Brown wrestling will begin the 2026 portion of its schedule at the Southern Scuffle on Jan. 3-4. The Bears enter competition with a 2-1 record in dual meets and several standout performances in tournaments at the end of 2025, headlined by nationally ranked wrestlers like Andrew Reall and Max Norman. Reall has compiled a 16-2 record on the season, boasting an impressive 88% win rate. Norman is coming off a 4-2 performance at the Cougar Clash Open on Dec. 7.Â
Brown's heavyweight, Alex Semenenko, looks to build off a good showing at last year's Southern Scuffle, where he won several matches over the course of the weekend. Austin McBurney and Thomas Sandoval have also emerged as important members of this year's team, with McBurney having won his weight bracket at the Army Black Knight Invitational on Nov. 16 and Sandoval coming off a second place finish at the Cougar Clash Open on Dec. 7.Â
Freshmen Eli Carr and Khimari Manns have both added to the impressive first-year class for Brown this season, with Manns having impressive showcases at the Princeton Open on Nov. 2 and the Army Black Knight Invitational on Nov. 16 (eight wins combined over both invitationals. Carr earned a runner-up finish in his weight bracket at the Big Red Invitational on Nov. 23, winning several matches at a premier invitational.Â
