No. 8 Men's Crew Heads to Camden, New Jersey for 2025 IRA Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - After a strong regular season, Brown men's crew makes the trip to Camden, New Jersey in search of the program's eighth IRA national championship. The Bears last took home the gold in 1995, capping off a three-peat after championships in 1993 and 1994.
Brown has also won IRA national championships in 1979, 1983, 1986, and 1987. The Ten Eyck Trophy, which is awarded to the program with the most total points, has been won twice by the Bears in 1994 and 1995. Â
The Bears picked up two victories against Boston University (Mar. 22) and Northeastern (Apr. 19), as well as two second place finishes at the Redwood Shores Challenge in California (Apr. 12-13). On the first day of the Sarasota Invitational in Florida (Mar. 28), Bruno defeated Yale to win the Stein Cup for the first time since 2013. On the second day of the invitational (Mar. 29), the Bears prevailed over Harvard and won the Stein Cup for the first time since 2018.Â
Brown's V8 won the Petite Final last season in West Windsor, New Jersey and ultimately finished seventh overall. In the Ten Eyck Trophy standings, the Bears came in fifth place with 229 total points.Â
