No. 17 Women’s Lacrosse Continues Ivy League Play at Dartmouth on Saturday

HANOVER, N.H. - The No. 17 Brown women's lacrosse team (9-3, 3-1) will continue Ivy League play on Saturday when they travel to Dartmouth (7-4, 1-3) at 1:00 p.m.
Last Time Out
Brown kept the Ocean State Cup with a 14-10 win over Bryant on Tuesday. Leah Caputo and Greta Criqui led the Bears offensively with four goals each as Criqui recorded a team-high six points. Criqui also recorded her 100th career goal.
Avery Doran matched Criqui with a team-high six points as six Bears accumulated two or more points. Doran has five or more points in each of the last five games.
National Noise
On Monday, Brown stayed at No. 17 in the IL Women top 25 poll while moving up to No. 18 the IWLCA top 25 poll. The Bears remained at No. 19 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine top 20 poll.
Chasing History
Brown will look to match a program record with 10 wins in a single season, it would be the second time in program history the Bears have back-to-back 10-win seasons as they also reached this feat during the 1996 and 1997 seasons.
Brown has won 10 games in five different seasons and Katrina Dowd will look to become the second head coach in program history to win 10 games in two separate seasons, Dowd can become the first head coach to win 10 games in her first two seasons at the helm of the Bears.
Brown will also look to win its fourth Ivy League game of the season, Brown hasn't won four Ivy League games in a season since 1997.

Brown ranks second in the nation with 9.42 assists per game and third in the nation with 24.92 points per game, both lead the Ivy League. The Bears also rank in the top 10 nationally in scoring margin, scoring offense, and fewest turnovers per game.
Annie Burton's 3.42 assists per game ranks fourth nationally, her 41 total assists rank seventh nationally, both rank second in the Ivy League. Claire Mahoney's 8.09 goals against average ranks fifth nationally.
Greta Criqui's 3.42 goals per game and 41 total goals rank third in the Ivy League.
Scouting Dartmouth (7-4, 1-3)
Dartmouth will look for its fourth consecutive win at Scully-Fahey field and second Ivy League home win. The Big Green rank second in the nation with a 69.4 draw control percentage and fifth nationally with 17.36 draw controls per game. Maya Kendall ranks second nationally and first in the Ivy League with 12.0 draw controls per game.
Dartmouth has five players with 20 or more points this season, highlighted by Katrina Christensen who has 29. Catherine Erb leads the Big Green with 22 goals this season while Christensen has 21.

Brown is 4-11 against Dartmouth since 2009 and 0-7 on the road against the Big Green since 2009. The Bears are 1-0 under head coach Katrina Dowd after picking up an 18-11 win last season at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
