No. 21 Women’s Lacrosse Hosts No. 24 Harvard on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The No. 24 Brown women's lacrosse team (6-2, 1-1) will welcome No. 24 Harvard (6-3, 1-1) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and NESN+ and will be the Bears' Faculty & Staff Appreciation Game.
Last Time Out
Brown earned a 14-11 win over then No. 7 Yale (Mar. 22), it was the second win over a top 10 opponent in program history and the first win over Yale since 2019.
National Noise
After their win over Yale, the Bears checked in at No. 21 in the IL Women national poll and No. 24 in the ILWCA poll. The Bears are in the "Also Considered" category in the USA Lacrosse top 20 poll.
On Thursday, Annie Burton was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, Burton became the third Bear since the 2019 season to be named to the list. Burton joins a list of Mia Mascone (2024) and Risa Mosenthal (2019, 2020).
Clean Sweep
On Monday, Annie Burton was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week and Claire Mahoney was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week.
Burton was named Offensive Player of the Week after having three goals and four assists in Brown's win over Yale. Burton also had two assists against No. 1 Boston College (Mar. 18).
Burton ranks third in the nation and first in the Ivy League with 3.63 assists per game, her 29 total assists ranks 11th in the nation and fourth in the Ivy League. Burton's 4.75 points per game ranks 23rd in the nation; the Chatham, N.J. native has had two or more assists in seven out of eight games.
After entering the game after the first quarter against Yale, Claire Mahoney stopped 10 shots on 18 shots faced in 45 minutes played. The Bears outscored the Bulldogs 10-5 after Mahoney entered the game. Mahoney's 6.77 goals against average ranks second in the Ivy League and fourth in the nation, her .479 save percentage ranks 20th nationally.
Scouting Brown (6-2, 1-1)
The Bears are 3-1 at Stevenson-Pincince Field this season and 1-0 in Ivy League action at home. Brown is averaging 15.25 goals per game through four games at home.
Brown ranks second in the nation and first in the Ivy League with 9.50 assists per game and third nationally with 25.50 points per game. Brown's points per game total also leads the Ivy League.
Brown's 16.0 goals per game ranks seventh in the nation and its 6.75 scoring margin ranks eighth nationally. The Bears' 17.13 draw controls per game ranks sixth nationally.
Scouting Harvard (6-3, 1-1)
Harvard enters Stevenson-Pincince Field after earning a 23-12 win over Bryant (Mar. 24), the Crimson's lone Ivy League win came at Dartmouth (Mar. 16).
Harvard is 1-2 against ranked opponents this season after capturing wins over Navy and UConn, the Crimson's lone ranked loss came against Princeton in its Ivy League opener.
Harvard ranks first in the Ivy League and seventh nationally with 11.58 caused turnovers per game, they also rank first in the Ivy League and fourth in the nation with 19.78 ground balls per game. Despina Giannakopoulos leads the Ivy League with 2.56 caused turnovers per game, Giannakopoulos' 2.56 caused turnovers per game ranks ninth in the nation.
Caroline Mullahy ranks 15th nationally with 28 total assists and 10th with 3.11 assists per game.
