Men's Lacrosse Hits the Road to Take on #17 Penn, Villanova

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (2-3, 0-0 Ivy League) hit the road to take on the 17th-ranked Penn Quakers (3-3, 0-0 Ivy League) in the conference opener on Saturday before squaring off against the Villanova Wildcats (2-4, 0-0 Big East) on Monday.
Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+. Monday's game is set for a 3 p.m. opening faceoff and will stream on FloSports.

- Brown enters the weekend with a 2-3 overall record with wins over Providence College and Bryant.
- Brown's offense averages 7.40 goals per game and is led by senior Aidan McLane, who has 10 goals and 13 points through five games.
- Brown's man-up offense has four goals in 12 attempts (.333) to rank fifth in the Ivy League and 41st nationally. Marcus Wertheim has three man-up goals to lead the Bears.

- Foley recorded 18 saves and scored a goal in Brown's 8-7 loss at BU (Feb. 18) before tallying 19 saves in Brown's 7-6 win over PC (Feb. 22).
- Through five games, Foley holds a .629 save percentage and 9.25 goals against average.
- His save percentage leads the Ivy League and ranks fifth nationally. His goals against average is second in the Ivy League and 22nd nationally.
- He leads the nation with 15.60 saves per game.
- Senior Aidan McLane recorded four goals and added an assist in Brown's 7-6 win over the Friars (Feb. 22).
- He added a hat trick and four points in the win over Bryant (Mar. 4) and leads the team with 10 goals and 13 points through five games.
- McLane is closing in on the 100-point career milestone and enters the weekend with 91 career points.
- He looks to become the 36th Bear to record 100 career points and the first since his brother, Devon, cracked the milestone in 2023.
- He is 27 goals shy of 100 career goals. Just 13 Bears have reached the century mark in goals.
- Junior Ben Scandone tallied a career-high four assists and five points last time out against Georgetown (Mar. 1).
- He leads the team with five assists and ranks third on the team with nine points.
- Marcus Wertheim has points in all five games this season and ranks second on the team with seven goals and 10 points.
- Wertheim posted two-goal and three-point efforts in Brown's wins over PC (Feb. 22) and Bryant (Mar. 4).
