NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Brown Bears (10-10-2, 6-8-1 ECAC) held off the Yale Bulldogs (5-15-2, 4-9-2 ECAC) to take a 2-1 road win on Thursday at Ingalls Rink and reach the double-digit win milestone on the season.
"That was an important win for us, we're trying to get all the points we can in the standings to move up as far as we can," said head coach Brendan Whittet '94. "This is the important time of the year and it's a hard place to win so I give the guys a lot of credit.
"It wasn't pretty, but we found a way and it's a great road win and important points in the league. Now, we're focused on the next game on Sunday. It's another big game, every game from here on out has huge implications. The standings are so tight, and you can slide way up or slide way down. We'll take the win and concentrate on Sunday."
