Women's Water Polo Hosts Three CWPA Games Over Weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's water polo returns home this weekend to host three CWPA conference matchups. The Bears will take on No. 16 Michigan and Saint Francis on Saturday before closing out the weekend against Bucknell on Sunday.
The games on Saturday will begin at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. respectively and the Sunday contest is set to start at 11:30 a.m. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.
Brown comes into the weekend 6-6 overall and 0-1 in CWPA play. The Bears went 3-1 last weekend at the Bronco Invitational at Santa Clara and earned a sweep of the CWPA weekly awards for their effort.
Michigan comes to Providence at 2-3 overall and will play their first conference game this season against the Bears. Brown has not beaten Michigan since March, 2010, having lost 19-straight to the Wolverines. The last meeting in Providence was a 13-7 loss on April 1, 2023.
Saint Francis is 8-3 to start the season and 1-1 in CWPA play with a win over Mercyhurst. Brown is 11-1 against Saint Francis all-time and 4-0 in meetings in Providence.
Bucknell is 9-1 on the year with CWPA wins against Saint Francis and Mercyhurst this season. The Bison will play Princeton and Harvard before head to Brown on Sunday. The Bears have won nine-straight games against Bucknell and are 2-0 at home against the Bison.
