Women's Water Polo Bests Saint Francis in Saturday Split

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown Women's Water Polo (7-7, 1-2 CWPA) split Saturday's competition at home with a loss against No. 16 Michigan and a win over Saint Francis University.
BROWN v. MICHIGAN [L, 7-11]
Brown fell to Michigan in their first matchup of the day, netting seven goals to the Wolverine's eleven. Hanna Tidrenzcel, Aubrie Anderson, and Samantha Kim picked up two goals apiece; Claire Poissonnier logged one.
Michigan used a 4-0 run after Brown had cut the lead to 3-2, to take 7-2 lead and the Bears were not able to climb back into the game.
BROWN v. SAINT FRANCIS [W, 8-6]
The Bears came out on top in their second matchup of the day, defeating Saint Francis by two.
Aubrie Anderson was first to get Brown on the board in Q1, followed by Ella Palmer and Madeleine Poissonnier. Sofia Holman struck twice in the second quarter, alongside M. Poissonnier and Samantha Kim to bring the halftime score to 56-5 in the Bears' favor.
Kim and Holman picked up one more apiece in the third and fourth quarters to maintain a one point advantage over SFU and collect the win.

The Bears are taking on Bucknell at home tomorrow at 11:30 ET. The match will be streaming live on ESPN+.
